Digital Island: “NZ’s leading ME smart phone specialist”

Digital Island powers up MVNO 3G mobile network for new & existing customers.

Business telecommunications provider, Digital Island, is rolling out its latest business to business mobile service offering during April. “We see ourselves as helping our business target market get maximum benefit from the best mobile technology,” General Manager Blair Stewart said.

“Digital Island quickly found an untapped market in the smart phone space when we first got our mobile service running. With access to the new Telecom network, the better and wider range of hand sets and our local account management we are in an even stronger position to be New Zealand’s leading Medium Enterprise smart phone provider.

“What most customers want is a seamless welding of their email, contacts and calendar and the ability to do small amounts of Internet browsing. Other more sophisticated users run clients for specialist applications, for example, Sales force, or to access in-house systems on their company network. Depending on IT infrastructure the customer already has in place, this can be a quick handset configuration exercise, or may require advice on the installation of backend systems. In either case Digital Island provides the knowledge and skills to get the right solution in place quickly and cost effectively. Digital Island has always delivered quality; initially voice, then data and now mobile. Our customers trust us to put these technologies to work for them in easy to understand ways. We will continue to lead our customers to the best solutions for their business needs and smart phones are a central component of this.

“We strongly believe that Telecom’s new 3G network is New Zealand’s most modern, capable and, we think, best mobile network. The result of recent events is that it will also be far more robust than ever.

Telecom has a proven track record of network delivery, unmatched in this country, that’s the reason we’ve chosen to do business with them for six years now.”

Mr Stewart said Digital Island is “ready now with its smart phone mobile service that offers real choice to business customers and provides stern competition for the mobile companies that have forgotten about key business elements such as local service.”
