Digital Island has upgraded the data caps on all DigiNet ADSL2+ broadband plans for free. “With the rapid uptake of Internet services such as Cloud Computing, Video Conferencing, etc, we are responding to a noticeable increase in the amount of data used each month by our business customers." said Digital Island's General Manager Blair Stewart. “Rather than make our customers move to more expensive plans with high data allowances, we have decided get on the front foot and add more data to all our plans at the same price!” The result is that, depending on the existing broadband plan, Digital Island customers will now get up to 150% more data for the same monthly price. In addition, to help businesses manage the cost of exceeding monthly data caps, Digital Island has reduced the standard excess data rate for all the plans above to $10 +gst per 5GB. All existing and new Digital Island broadband customers have automatically receive the data cap upgrade from 1st June 2011.
