Initially you will need to contact Digital Island to have FaxBox set up and to have a FaxBox number assigned, or to divert your exisiting fax number to your FaxBox service. You may choose to use the FaxBox service on your existing fax number, but if you have a new number assigned, advise your contacts of your new FaxBox number.
To collect incoming faxes using FaxBox:
Simply check your email address to collect your faxes along with your normal emails.
To send faxes by email using FaxBox:
- Address your fax to sendfax@faxbox.co.nz
- Put the destination fax number (including country and area code, even if you are faxing a local number) in the subject line. When faxing an international destination include the 00 then the full number (including country, area code & phone number). Do not include any non-numeric characters (such as dashes, spaces or parenthesis).
- Attach the file you wish to send.
- Push send and your fax will be sent. FaxBoxwill accept the email, convert the file to a fax and send it when our server receives your email.
- Note that any text in the body of the email will be ignored. Only the attached document will be faxed to your recipient.
When you send a fax through Faxbox, each separate message generates an automated confirmation message. We will try up to four attempts to send the fax before we notify you of a failed transmission.
