The premium range is made up of various high performance data access products, sourced from New Zealand’s main network operators. This enables us to select the perfect internet access solution to meet your business’s performance and budget requirements.

In line with IT best practice, where available we specify Fibre Optic circuits to deliver the highest levels of performance, and speeds ranging from 1Mbs to 1000Mbs. In situations where Fibre Optic cabling is not available we can provide data solutions that deliver near Fibre Optic performance through copper (DigiUNS) or Radio Frequency (DigiRF) methods. 

DigiFibre Internet Access

DigiFibre Fibre Optic Based Internet Access solutions deliver the highest level of performance, reliability and scalability to sites where fibre optic infrastructure is present.

Available in most business centres, Fibre Optic has specifically been designed to support data, voice and video traffic. The bandwidth of a Fibre Optic service is synchronous, with speeds from 1Mbs to 100Mbs, which means Fibre is suitable for all enterprise level applications.

Fibre Optic delivers low latency, low jitter, and very low packet loss, and is easy to work with as it terminates in the Ethernet and supports multiple static IP's.

Depending on the underlying Fibre Optic network, customer requirements and availability, Fibre Optic solutions are delivered with guaranteed speeds and maximum reliability, either over a dedicated or shared circuit.

An engineering firm office regularly sends and receives 200MB files over its DSL Internet connection. The thirty minute download time is causing problems for staff trying to turn around jobs quickly. Moving to a 5MB DigiFibre internet connection would reduce download times for these files to under five minutes, reducing job turnaround times and improving productivity.

DigiLink SHDSL – Quality and Reliability at a Better price

Does your business need reliability and performance that surpasses a standard ADSL connection? DigiLink SHDSL is a business grade service with guaranteed levels of performance and reliability, delivered over Telecoms Next Generation Network (NGN).

Available nationwide, DigiLink SHDSL supports data and real time applications such as voice and video. The bandwidth is synchronous and un-contended, with speeds up to 10Mbps, resulting in a faster, more stable service than standard ADSL based services. DigiLink SHDSL delivers low latency, low jitter, very low packet loss, and is easy to work with as it terminates as Ethernet and supports multiple static IP's.

A company enables staff to work remotely by logging on to the office network using Microsoft Terminal Services over a DSL connection. However staff often complain that their connection drops out and they have to reconnect which takes several minutes. DSL by design often reconnects throughout the day, which causes problems with applications such as Terminal Services. DigiRF Wireless Internet Access solutions are Radio Frequency business internet connections delivered with guaranteed levels of performance and reliability.

DigiRF is available in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch and can support data and real time applications such as voice and video. DigiRF bandwidth is synchronous, with speeds ranging from 2Mbs to 1Gbs, making it a fantastic option where high bandwidth is required.

DigiRF delivers low latency, low jitter, and very low packet loss, and as it terminates in the Ethernet and supports multiple static IP's it is easy to work with.

Multisite Wide Area Network (WAN)

With a range of well proven solutions operating in the market, we can provide the right data network solution to meet your needs, whether you are providing access to a business application, using Terminal Services, sharing files, video conferencing, or connecting IP phone systems.

Multi-site data network solutions provide data connections between two or more business locations at speeds from 1Mbs to 100Mbs. Either DigiFibre, DigiUNS or DigiRF products can be used to connect each location to Digital Island’s network, depending on speed, availability or budget requirements.

A Wide Area Network solution involves implementing data circuits at each business location. In addition to providing connectivity between sites, a given portion of the data circuit bandwidth can be configured to provide Internet access. This often removes the need for separate DSL Internet Access, reducing cost and further leveraging the WAN investment.

Various Quality of Service (QoS) methods can be employed to prioritise the data for real time applications such as VoIP and video conferencing.
The access circuit at each location can be connected to your existing router and firewall, or Digital Island can provide appropriate Cisco equipment either on a lease or outright purchase basis.
